Loop a section of a YouTube video, as slowly as you need
RepeatClip is a free A–B repeat player for YouTube. Paste a link, set a start
and an end time to a tenth of a second, pick a speed between 0.5× and 1×, and
that section repeats until you stop it. Nothing to install, no account, no upload:
the video plays in YouTube's own player and your clips stay in your browser.
What people use it for
- Dance practice — drill one eight-count of choreography at half speed before taking it up to tempo.
- Instruments and voice — repeat a guitar riff, a piano passage, or a vocal run until your hands know it.
- Language learning — shadow the same sentence over and over, slowed down enough to hear every syllable.
- Lectures and tutorials — sit on the thirty seconds where the explanation actually happens.
Questions
- How do I loop part of a YouTube video?
- Paste the video link, type the start and end seconds, and press play. The section repeats automatically, with no browser extension involved.
- How do I slow a video down to learn choreography?
- Choose 0.5× through 0.9× in the speed row. YouTube decides which rates a given video supports, so the "Actual" readout shows the rate that was really applied.
- Can I share a looped section with someone else?
- Yes. The share button copies a link that carries the video and the timestamps, so your friend opens exactly the seconds you were practicing.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes, in the mobile browser. The controls are laid out for a phone screen.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. RepeatClip is free and open source, and it never asks you to sign in.
- Does it work with TikTok, Instagram, or Bilibili?
- Not today — YouTube links only. RepeatClip does not download or extract video from anywhere.
